I Don’t Mind s*x Roles –Vera Ngoka

Vera-Ngoka-702x336
Actress, Vera Ngoka, is one actress that is comfortable with playing s*x roles. The Mass Communications graduate who had her NYSC national assignment in Boko Haram-ravaged Borno State has starred in over a dozen movies including Madam GoldGold in CoffinMother & Child and Mother is Gold among others. In this interview, Vera shares her experience with Entertainer and reveals how a male fan rattled her in Enugu.
Excerpts:
How would you describe your experience as a Nollywood actress?
It’s been awesome and worthwhile.
Was acting your dream as a child?
My dream was to be a journalist and my parents were looking forward to that when I chose to study Mass Communication but somehow, I found myself in the make-belief industry. But who knows? I may still do stuff in mainstream journalism but it would be much later.
What was your first movie role?
That was Ifunanya the American Nurse. It was an Osy Affasson production and was shot in Asaba.
You just wrapped up work on some flicks, what are their titles?
I don’t know the titles but I just finished a Corruma Production job in Awka where I played the role of Chioma, the daughter of a wealthy man and Nuella Njubigbo played an orphan called Nwamma. Shortly before then I played Aku, a naïve village girl in another job we shot in Asaba.
You are among Nollywood actresses experiencing back-to-back jobs. How many lead roles have you done so far?
I have done over 20 and by the special grace of God; I have never done any minor role since I joined the industry.
You mean you did not do Waka Pass even on your first job?
No, I never did Waka Pass. My first job was somewhere between a minor and major role but not a waka passrole. That is not to say that there is something wrong with playing Waka Pass. As an artiste, if it is Waka Passrole that a filmmaker needs me to do in a movie to achieve his goal, why not? If the pay is good I’ll do it.
Between comedy and romantic films, which do you feel more comfortable acting?
A good artiste should be comfortable acting all roles.
Can you act a s*x role?
I can play s*x role but it must be refined and it has to be purely on make-belief basis. But I would not be caught playing unclad, soft P0*n or hard core roles; it’s not part of our culture.
Would you opt out if Afrocandy invites you to be part of her cast with juicy pay?
I’m not a P0*n star and I’m not aspiring to become one.
Can you pose unclad?
I cannot no matter the amount offered. I can be half unclad to interpret a role but I will not bare my womanhood for the world to see.
What is your view on s*x-for-role; does it really exist in the industry?
(Laughter) The industry is a community and people should expect to hear both real and cooked up stories about it. I wouldn’t say that I have never heard about it but the big question is ‘if such things really happen, who is to blame?’ Using myself as an example, I would not rate myself as being bad-looking and I have worked with several directors, producers and big shots in the industry yet, I have never experienced it. Should we just call that luck? It would be a different game if I decide to adopt the other approach which is ‘using what you have to get what you don’t have.’ In that case, am I not to blame if anything goes awry? So it’s a complicated issue which should not be blamed on one party alone. Desperate artistes can go to the extent of offering their bodies and even saying ‘Sir, please have me in exchange for the role.’ That’s just the truth.
Are you saying that actresses are to blame for s*x-for-role?
Blame it on the dearth of moral values, desperation and naivety. Practitioners, filmmakers and actors especially the up-and-coming all share in the blame. If you don’t have the talent, you don’t have it! And even if you cut corners to get a role you cannot go far. Besides, I don’t think that any filmmaker would risk casting a poorly talented actress in exchange for s*x because of his capital-intensive investment. It’s just some desperate girls that use that to seduce them. An Igbo adage has it that Akwala amaro ife (the p*n*s is always reckless). If you touch the lion’s tale, would you blame anybody if the worst happens to you?
What’s your biggest embarrassment as an actress?
I was shopping at Shoprite in Enugu when suddenly a guy appeared from nowhere, grabbed me from behind, bent my neck backwards and started kissing me roughly inside a boutique. Gush! I was alarmed, afraid, confused and everything. But he was wild and had a firm grip of my neck. So I was careful to avoid being choked in the process. After he freed me I could not control my anger so I landed a dirty slap on his cheek. And then with a raised voice I asked ‘have you gone nuts?’ Do you know what he did? In a calm voice he tendered apologies and said he found my lips irresistibly tempting! He said he knew his action could attract a dirty slap and had prepared himself for the worst because he did not want to miss the opportunity; can imagine that? He just ended up spoiling my entire day because his response even confused me the more.
How good can you interpret a lesbian role?
I once played it in the movie entitled s*x Max. The promo is on the internet now and it will hit the market very soon so you can watch the film and rate me afterwards. It also featured Cha Cha Eke and Anita Joseph among others.
The title sounds very suggestive…
But the movie is not what you think. Try and see it first before jumping into conclusion.
Which actress are you longing to work with?
I have worked with several of the mamas in the industry except Onyeka Onwenu. She is a bundle of talent and I am longing to working with her someday. I want to tap from her wealth of experience.
Who is your ideal guy?
I like tall and gentle guys with bold masculine frame.
What would you do to keep your man?
As an African woman whose mum taught how to prepare sumptuous delicacies, I would spoil him with great dishes. If you want to reach a man’s heart, his belly and bed are the surest paths; just be the woman and let him be the man.
Talking about bed …
Don’t even talk about it because I have no further comment on that (laughter).
You want to keep it secret for the lucky man?
Before nko? I’ll do justice to that when the time is right.

It also explores such themes  as rape, cultism and  drug abuse among the youths. Though Williams is about three years working behind the cameras, he has already become one of the fast rising film makers in the industry.
Narrating his story to HVP recently , Williams  said, “My film making career started while he was working with Buferzone communications, a PR  and Media Relations outfit. The company is actually into media relations and productions. I was more involved in the production aspect of the company.
We did production for government agencies including National Health Insurance. We did talk shows for them, drama series among others. I was involved in the production of these TV series and that’s where my interest in film making started growing.
After three years  working with the organization, I decided to walk out of my job to pursue a career in film making. That’s when I set up my own outfit called Cross Entertainment.
“It is a movie for the youth that talks about the social vices that affects Nigerian them. We talked about cases of rape, drug abuse, sex abuse, and cultism. The film also is aimed at promoting core family values.

Nollywood Actress, Ayo Adesanya Yet To Lose Hope Of Getting Married At 45

ayo-adesanya-3
Veteran Yoruba Nollwood star, Ayo Adesanya, says she hasn’t given up on getting married even though she is 45.
According to the big busty actress, she’s willing to try out the holy matrimony once again if it is ordained by God.
Adesanya, who had a tumultuous marriage and even messier divorce saga with her former husband, actor and producer, Goriola Hassan, said though it’s sad having a broken marriage but she’s not God to determine if she would-
fall in love again.
Speaking to Vanguard she said: ‘When people ask me that question, they just get me confused. Fine, God said we should come to the world, get married and multiply but you know what? I’m beginning to think marriage is not for the whole world.
‘It’s not everybody that agrees to that because these days, people are getting so hostile. People fall in love; it’s not as if you don’t find love but does it really last?
‘You keep wondering that today they’ve broken up, tomorrow they’ve broken up; it’s not a good thing really. When you’re asking me if I’m going to get married again, I’m not God because you really can’t play God when it comes to what is going to happen.
Tomorrow, I might just meet somebody that would sweep me off my feet, so it’s not as if I’m closing the door totally. God is the owner of my life, so if he says okay, this is what he wants. But then, it doesn’t mean you cannot be happy if you’re not married,’she explained.
Speaking further, Adesanya said, ‘I want the coming generation to be happily married, I want them to settle, I want them to believe in love, I want them to have a peaceful life and a peaceful home; I encourage it. Because I’m not married does not mean that I do not understand what love is, I know what love is, I know what romance is, I understand it so well.’

Baba Tee And Yetunde Oduwole Expose Each Other’s Secrets Online

Tunde-Bernard-and-Yetunde-Oduwole1
Yoruba actor and comedian, Babatunde Bernard aka Baba Tee, and Yetunde Oduwole are currently going back and forth in a war of words, embarrassing each other.
Apparently, this is not the first time the former lovers have fought publicly.
In the latest round of their war of words, UK based Yetunde Oduwole took the first shot.
In a YouTube video posted by her, she accused Baba Tee of always being mean to her whenever they have an arguement.
Oduwole who was shedding tears in the video accused Baba Tee of deleting all her pictures from his Facebook photo albums.
In the clip, she also said any man that offends her will not prosper and made an example of one of her former lovers whose wife recently begged her to forgive her husband.
Baba Tee has responded to the video. The actor who granted an interview to E247 Mag spoke about how Yetunde Oduwole begged him to have an affair with him.
You can read his interview excerpt below: –
I was marvelled when I saw what the ‘wannabe’ London big babe, as people write (this makes me laugh), Yetunde wrote on her blog yesterday and today. I think I just need to put some things straight. Please Yetunde, how many stories do you want to tell us? You know deep within your heart that you asked me out, though people may not know. It was even reported when you came to Nigeria to beg me to marry you. You were stalking me around during my movie shoot in order to spite your ex-husband.
You went to church and told me that your pastor told you not to think about your husband again. Why are you now turning the story around and telling lies?
Are you trying to tell people now that despite not knowing you before coming to London, I already prepared the “African juju” for you?
“Are you also telling people that even though you are living on state benefit support in the UK, you can actually get a stay for someone? Madam, stop this lies. You cannot even invite someone over to the UK, talk more of getting a stay. You and I know that, even if anyone does not know. Stop deceiving people because you don’t have what it takes.
“Are you also saying that despite my small manhood, you cried ceaselessly begging me to stay whenever we fought? You said I have a small manhood, yet you stayed with me for four years? I only know that my manhood will only be small to a woman with a wide womanhood (sic). Thank God I have a new relationship in which I can feel the sweetness which I could not feel over the years.
“Between November 2011 that we met till October 2014 when we separated, all I spent with Yetunde was not more than six months as I never lived in the UK as people think. Out of the six months that I stayed with her, she threatened me more than ten times with fake police report for threat to her life, fake NHS report, and so on. She even said that she wants to die because of me. She made series of audio and video clips of her raining curses on me, why? I got to realise that all she told me about her ex-husband, Babs were lies. I sat down and thought of her attitude towards a man that she had two kids for, and I asked myself: ‘am I not in hell fire?’ Anytime I tried to leave, she came up with different threats because I didn’t know much about the UK then; that was why I was in the relationship for that long until people gave me courage. “People can criticise me and say whatever they like, but it’s now in my past.
Please leave my girlfriend and my folks out of whatever problems you think you have with me, face me and me alone. (Yetunde), you know you don’t have any cloth in my house that my girlfriend can wear, stop attacking people with your problems.
“As for you Mrs Blogger, did Yetunde have respect for me when she dated Mr Kwame in Ghana where she exposed her B**BS? Who is she that I will have to hide my girlfriend from her? I have moved on with my life since last year because I need to have my own family. I am overdue for it and I’m not going to let her draw me back anymore. I regret ever meeting her. She should just move on with her life. I wonder why she keeps coming back to my life and constituting a nuisance on social media platforms.
“People should also stop thinking that Nigerian artistes are wretched; we don’t depend only on the movies we act or produce, there are many other things we do that earn us good money.
“As for me, I hate that this is happening because I am not a lousy person like Yetunde. She lives a fake life and we always fought about it. I was never willing to get married to Yetunde; she was just there for that period of time and she knew the relationship wasn’t going anywhere even though she tried to get it to be a bit more serious.
“All is history now. Her advisers should talk to her candidly to let me be. I have found a woman and I have peace with her. If you are not in the right place, no matter how hard you try to make it right, it will always go wrong.
Baba Tee and Yetunde Oduwole started dating in 2011 and got separated in 2014.

Emeka Ike’s 12-Year-Old Marriage Set To Collapse As Wife Files For Divorce

emeka
According to very reliable reports, Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike’s wife, Emma has just filed for divorce from her husband of 12 years.
Reports say she claims Emeka Ike is constantly battering her.
She narrated how the couple lost their school when her husband stopped her from managing it.
Hear what Emma told the customary court yesterday:
It was when my husband beat me mercilessly I believed that people truly saw stars whenever they were unconscious. It was my brother who took me to the hospital where I spent two months. There was also a day I was feeding our last child with tea, my husband, out of anger took the tea and poured it on my head.
I even persuaded his sister to bring four of her children to our school without paying a dime but instead of showing appreciation, she said I was a lavish spender and that was how I stopped being in charge of his school.
Each time we fight, he calls me a witch saying whenever he intends to start a project and he informs me it eventually fails. He also said if he hadn’t married me, I would have become a prostitute, Mrs Ike said.
Since I left, he doesn’t allow me to speak with our first two children asking me to come home if I really want to see them. Even when I was in with him, he leaves home for months on the pretext of different appointments. I can’t face all this anymore. I need help.emeka ike children
