Women from all walks of life gathered last week for the
National Women’s Prayer Summit with theme “The Supplication” hosted by
Jumoke Adenowo and Awesome Treasures Foundation to pray against violence
in Nigeria.
Celebrities like Funke Akindele, Stella Damasus, Ufuoma Ejenobor and others were in attendance.
From known celebrities to students, market women, corporate giants and clergy women from different denominations gathered to pray against violence in Nigeria.
Ufuoma praying
Before the prayers began, a woman would mount the podium and narrate her personal story in the violence. Tears started flowing after one woman from Jos came up and graphically narrated how her community was burnt down with pregnant women and children slaughtered in the process.
Almost everyone in attendance started wailing and pouring their hearts out to God for the blood that was being shed across our nation.
