Queen Latifah – ”Society Is Not Accepting Enough Of Gay Black People”

Veteran actress and reality TV star, Queen Latifah has spoken up on Gay issues. She complained that gay black people find it difficult to cope in the society despite the world gradually accepting homosexuality nowadays.

In a new interview with Uptown Magazine, the 45-year-old talk show host, who’s rumored to be dating Eboni Nichols, said:

”People’s ideas in general are antiquated when it comes to who you love. We haven’t moved as quickly as we probably should. And the reality is that there’s always been gay people in the black community, so it’s not foreign to us. And not just as a black community but just a society as a whole.”

She further claimed that being gay was ‘not a character weakness’ and admitted that the opposition to gay marriage angered her.

She says:

”Who you choose to marry is really up to you and it’s not something you should be judged on. I don’t find being gay or lesbian to be a character flaw. Couples should be protected under the laws of this country period. It actually angers me. It’s not unusual so let’s be adults and let’s move forward.”

An unknown store owner has gone on Instagram to cry wolf as she claims Tonto Dikeh owes her money.
She said Tontolet is owning her N192,000 and that she bought fake Givenchy bags from her since she can’t afford the original.
According to the shop owner:
“Dear @tontolet, thank you for pushing me beyond my comfort zone. Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Heads To South Africa As She Joins ONE Campaign

Super famous actress and TV reality star, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is going to South Africa soon for the ONE Campaign and a new campaign to promote women empowerment.

In a press statement released by Klick Promotions, Omotola will be in South Africa from 27th April, 2015, to participate in a music thriller, accompanying a campaign song that will be performed by top African female singers including Omawumi (Nigeria), Judith Sephuma (South Africa) and Victoria Kimani (Kenya).

The song will be co-produced by Cobhams Asuquo and Masterkraft, the biggest producers in  Nigeria now.

According to the press release Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde said this about her new role, “I am fortunate to be a young woman living her dreams, a trailblazer of my generation. But I also recognize that many women and girls are not so fortunate. Women and girls are hit hardest by the effects of extreme poverty, but when we invest in women and girls, we increase and accelerate the chances of overcoming extreme poverty  – for everyone. That is why I have joined the ONE Campaign’s Poverty is Sexist Campaign, and I call on the public to join me by signing the petition on www.one.org/sexist.”

The campaign is tagged Poverty is Sexist, meaning that women and girls are most seriously affected by poverty. And in order to eradicate extreme poverty, there is a serious need to promote women empowerment. ‘Poverty is Sexist’ was conceived to support the ‘Africa Union Year of Women Empowerment’.

The campaign was launched on Thursday 16 April by the ONE Campaign in Abuja, Nigeria, at a policy forum that was attended by representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS), Equity Advocates and Save the Children Nigeria among others.

The song will be used to promote the campaign across the world, and will be officially launched in Nigeria, Mozambique, and South Africa, during the World Economic Forum for Africa and the African Union Summit.

Unconfirmed reports claim that Nollywood actress, Lilian Esoro has called off her engagement to Triple MG boss Ubi Franklin.

It’s said that she called off the engagement after coming back from their London trip together.

Is another baby on the way for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie?

The Jolie-Pitt household might be about to get a new addition.
The UK's Express reports that Brad Pitt, 51, and Angelina Jolie, 39, are planning to adopt a child from Syria. Ange has visited the country several times in recent years in her role as a special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
"She has been moved to tears on several occasions over the plight of youngsters orphaned in the Syrian conflict," a Brangelina business associate said.

"Now [that] she has sorted out her health issues, she and Brad believe the time is right to adopt another orphan from there, most likely a daughter."
Angelina had surgery last month to remove her ovaries as a preventive measure after tests showed she carried a genetic marker that increases the likelihood of developing ovarian cancer. That, of course, narrows down the couple's options for giving their six children another sibling.
According to another family friend, Ange and Brad would like to get the ball rolling quickly so that the adoption is complete by the end of winter.
"Angelina's feeling good about turning 40 in June with a clean bill of health," added the pal. "But what will make her happiness complete is seeing a new little face at the dinner table."

Johnny Depp has pulled a disappearing act, leaving his Pirates of the Caribbean colleagues fuming.
According to reports, the 51-year-old actor has been missing from the Australian set of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales for the past week. He was due to fly back to Brisbane on April 13 after spending one month off-set.
"It's quite unprofessional of Johnny to leave everyone waiting and wondering what's happening," a senior production source said.

Johnny returned to the US on March 11 for medical treatment after hurting his hand. Sources said he injured it when he hit a glass door following a heated phone conversation with his wife Amber Heard, 29.
As of the end of last week, Johnny had yet to report back to work. Amber, meanwhile, was photographed at New York's Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend with Johnny nowhere in sight.
"Everyone's hoping they have managed to get him on another flight," the crew member added. "But he still hadn't hopped on a plane on Friday morning, which means production will already be running behind when principal photography starts again.
"Even if he managed to fly out over the weekend, the delay has forced the directors to change their shot lists for the week. They've had to rearrange what they can and can't shoot before filming starts again."
This is bad news for the troubled production. Since Johnny is the star of the show, this one can't possibly go on without him.
Hopefully, when he arrives back on set, he'll be in better shape than he seemed to be at the Hollywood Film Awards last November. Check out the video below.

Vin Diesel is clearly missing his late Fast and Furious co-star like crazy.
The 47-year-old action star has once again paid homage to Paul Walker, this time singing a few lines from Wiz Khalifa's hit single 'See You Again' at the MTV Movie Awards. The song is the rapper's requiem for Paul from the Furious 7 soundtrack.
It was a sweet, touching gesture, but did Vin hit the right musical notes? See for yourself in the video above.

This is just the latest tribute to Paul by Vin, who sang 'See You Again' over the weekend during an interview with an Italian news outlet. Vin also recently named his new daughter Pauline after his friend, and he's talked how difficult it was to go back to work on Furious 7 after Paul's death.

Box office report: Furious 7 stays strong in its second weekend

Furious 7 is only in its second weekend, and it’s already made more than any of the other Fast and Furious films made throughout their entire runs. For example: 2013’s Fast & Furious 6 made $238.7 million over 15 weeks. Furious 7 made $252.5 million over two.
Most films in the franchise dipped around 60 percent between their first and second weekends, and Furious 7—even in all its record-breaking, first weekend success—did the same: It dropped 59 percent from $147.2 million to an estimated $60.6 million. This was expected, and it’s not a bad sign by any means. Furious 7 has proven to have a devoted fanbase, and those fans will keep showing up to the theater to watch it, whether it’s for the first or second or fifth time.
Home also had a good weekend: Its ticket sales dropped just 30 percent, partly thanks to its status as the only newish (it’s in its third week), completely family-friendly film currently in theaters. Cinderella, which kept its spot in the top five with $7.2 million, is also family-friendly but not as appealing to kids—especially younger ones—as the colorful, musical, animated Home.
The Longest Ride, another film in the always-growing series of Nicholas Sparks adaptations, was the only wide release this weekend, and it debuted with $13.5 million—considerably less than its $34 million budget, but just about where forecasts were predicting it’d end up. It’s more than what the last Sparks film, Best of Me, opened with (that was a disappointing $10 million), but not as strong as other recent ones: Safe Haven, for example, opened with $21.4 million in 2013.
Like Cinderella, the Will Ferrell/Kevin Hart comedy Get Hard kept its spot in the top five for one more week—though unlike Cinderella, it received bad reviews. Its days on top will likely end next weekend, however, when Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (another comedy that probably won’t receive glowing reviews) opens wide.

Woman's Day reports that personal letters the couple wrote to each other in 2013 have been stolen from their chateau in France.
"Brad went into a panic because he couldn't find them," said a friend of the actor. "He's terrified they were lifted by someone who wants to publicly humiliate them."

If so, they'd have plenty of ammunition. The pal says the letters included intimate conversations about possibly adopting another baby and their suffering sex life as well as Brad's fears about Brangelina's future.
"Brad was open about his concerns that Ange might fall for a woman again," the source added.
"He poured his heart out about the problems he had in his previous marriage to Jennifer Aniston, so she may be dragged into this mortifying mess as well!"
According to the friend, Angelina is angry with Brad because he was responsible for keeping the letters locked away while their home in Provence was being renovated. That appears to be when the missives were swiped.
Ironically, their devotion to their professional lives might be what ends up making their private one public. When Angelina, 39, was in Australia filming Unbroken and Brad, 51, was in the US making Fury, they decided to communicate 1940s-style in the spirit of their period war films.

In the latest revelations, hailing from the new HBO expose Going Clear, is that church leader David Miscavige consciously split Tom Cruise from his first wife Mimi Rogers.
The reason? Her dad, Phil Spickler was seen as a "squirrel", which isn't a fluffy tree animal but someone who practices Scientology on their own, away from proper counsel.
"It would be one thing to have Tom Cruise as a trophy for Scientology, but it would be a disaster if he became a walking advertisement for the squirrels," Going Clear author Lawrence Wright said.
Unfortunately for Mimi, she was the one who pushed Tom to join the Church of Scientology, hoping it would curb his "playboy ways". That kind of backfired.
Despite the pair divorcing, Former Church of Scientology executive Marty Rathbu revealed: "Nicole (Kidman) had got her claws in, and Miscavige was now worried that she was going to lead [Cruise] away."
