His 49-year-old father is no stranger to law enforcement. The actor famously struggled with substance abuse in the 1990s, landing him in both rehab and jail on multiple occasions. Today, Downey Jr. says he has been drug-free since 2003.
UPDATE: Downey Jr. released the following statement to ET following his son's arrest: "Unfortunately there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it. Also, there is a lot of family support and understanding, and we’re all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he's capable of being. We’re grateful to the Sheriff's department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success story instead of a cautionary tale.”

Well, I guess Moet Abebe has every right to be pissed off. It’s really a shame that a big nationwide newspaper like the Vanguard would post a photo of Moet Abebe and call her Anita Hogan.

Know The Top 10 Clothing Brands Owned By Rappers Worldwide

ji
It’s only common sense to invest in something else to keep the money incoming, after all, you can’t be a rapper or even a singer all your life..
Due to this obvious fact, the big shot rappers have invested their money in multi-million dollar clothing lines. However, only a few have actually been successful at maintaining and managing a retail business long-term.
Check out our favorite rapper-owned clothing lines below: -
600_1352136989_b6dbbd8bda0b02d737034148f4e7fe74
Jay-Z- Rocawear: The obvious, and a classic. Jay-Z started Rocawear with Damon Dash, which rakes in a steady $700 million a year. Offering lifestyle clothing for pretty much anyone, the brand’s face is none other than R&B darling Ciara. Definitely the biggest of the brands, Rocawear serves as a business model and inspiration due to its wide success.
600_1352136974_edbb1ced845a5713731fa6af62e7ce71
Snoop Dogg- Perhaps one of the most ambitious and experimental of entrepreneurs, Snoop Dogg doesn’t seem to be all that picky. He’s had his hand in quite a few endorsements, including AOL and Colt 45, along with recently being named President of Serious Pimp Clothing & Sunglasses (lest we forget he was actually a pimp in the early 2000′s). To boot, he’s had a slew of fun products bordering on self-obsessed, such as “Snoop Doggs” hot-dogs and marijuana-flavored “Chronic Candy.” My personal favourite though is the short-lived line of accessories for pets he ran in 2006 in partnership with Jakks Pacific around the release of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Dogg for dogs. It sells itself!
600_1352136975_d5a881172d692ff8b03825531dd34f9d
Pharrell Williams- Billionaire Boys Club / Ice Cream: BBC and its sister brand Ice Cream were both established by Pharrell and Nigo, so you know the duds are crispy. Plus they’re produced mostly in Japan. The lines feature clothing and accessories for men, including sneakers. The items run in very small quantities and will put a dent in your wallet, doing the brand’s name justice. On top of having collaborated with Rocawear, the brands just branched out into women’s wear with the aptly named Billionaire Girls Club.
600_1352136976_e09fc4c7ecb6e1c95000d4751e4ab6c1
Lil Wayne- Trukfit: Best story behind how this brand got its name. When Weezy was nuthin but a youngin, mock-designer clothing was sold to those who couldn’t afford the real deal, out the back of a truck. “If you were known to have that outfit, then it was not called an ‘outfit,’ it was called a ‘truck fit.’” Hence TRUKFIT. One of Tunechi’s favorite hobbies is skateboarding, so the colorful brand is heavily inspired by it. On top of that, it’s affordable, staying true to tradition.
600_1352136977_d24b56608f2515f0f3e3ef835ad4ce13
Nicki Minaj: It was only a matter of time before Nicki Minaj launched her own line. Though it’s still in the works, judging by her wild onstage get-ups and general fashion sense, her soon-to-be-launched clothing line promises to be interesting. She’s already got a fragrance to her name and endorses MAC make-up, so she’s no stranger to branding products. About her upcoming line, she’s even gone so far as to say “Lil Wayne will be asking me for a job!” In the meantime, she’s repping Adidas with designer Jeremy Scott by her side.
600_1352136978_27eddc94b453aa981b0b7c67530e014b
Kanye West- DW: A renowned mama’s boy, Kanye West named his brand after his mother, who passed away a few years ago. The line features a lot of beige, black, fur, and plunging necklines. All very Kim K, before they even dated. His runway shows at Paris Fashion Week the last couple of years were poorly received, and he line won’t be making an appearance on the catwalk for Spring 2013. No word yet on whether the line is thoroughly discontinued. Frankly I wouldn’t mind seeing what other weird, ornate heels he and his team can come up with.
600_1352136980_64563331dfe984b4b767a3caf915fb9e
Yelawolf- Famous Stars And Straps by Country Fresh: Yelawolf teamed up with Country Fresh to launch Famous Stars and Straps, a line of t-shirts in collaboration with Travis Barker of Blink-182 fame. Yela also designed a shoe inspired by his Native American roots, described as a high-top with a detachable fringe and bright colors. Sounds either like a clownish lion or the dopest shoe ever. I’m psyched to see this one.
600_1352136978_4b40ff5f0c5572a3e689a92eb19320fc
Nelly- Vokál: Less known than Apple Bottom Jeans, Vokál (“Very Organized Kids Always Learning”) was launched in 1997 by Nelly and a couple of partners. The goal was to create a line with strong designs, which the name echoes. “Vokál” means ‘speak for yourself’ and this clothing speaks for itself.” If Nelly says so!
600_1352136980_42aa84d174a2aa8aa7f0198e434126d4
T.I. – A.K.O.O.: T.I.’s got his own line called A.K.O.O., which stands for A King Of Oneself. The King of journalism himself, Larry King, was spotted sporting some of their goods, gifts from T.I. after an interview. B.o.B is the currently repping the brand of urban yet casual upscale apparel. To boot, many fans have aligned their projects with the brand, likeMeek Mill and Tristan Wilds from The Wire.
600_1352136979_c7ba22c82a68f256d4bb2e1d0c5730bd
Beyoncé- House Of Déréon: Time to come full circle, with Jay’s own wife, Beyoncé. Fine, she’s not a rapper, but she’s got great style. She started the company with her mother Tina Knowles, who used to design Destiny’s Child’s onstage outfits (remember how they matched… My, how things have changed!). She must have inherited that skill from her own mother who was actually a seamstress, and after whom the brand is named. Beyoncé says starting a line “was a natural thing for us to do,” because she grew up picking fabric with her mother to make clothes.

03
I know Nigerians like anything that has been arranged in a list, so when i came across this online, I decided to share.
Read and enjoy: -
Who are Nigeria’s most bankable female music stars?
This list was determined by factors such as other business ventures and current endorsement deals. The criteria also includes popularity, Youtube views as well as social media influence.
Female musicians are now beginning to be accepted by music-buffs, unlike when they were hardly taking serious in the music industry. Not only are they making waves with their hit songs, thus they are as well appreciated by fans and corporate agencies who had in the past invested huge sum of money in an endorsement deal with them.
Out of too many of them on the scene, few who in the recent times kept their place as the delight of music lovers and fans. We present you Nigeria’s Most Bankable Female Musicians’.
Check Out Our List Below…
TIWA SAVAGE
Gorgeous Singer/songwriter, Tiwa Savage, kings her fellow female acts in all…she has a voice that gives the average listener chills because her soaring voice is truly one in a million.
Ms. Savage took over Africa with her lead-off single “Kele Kele Love,” which became an anthem for women everywhere as it took the number one spot on numerous radio and television stations across the continent. Her big break was at age 16 when she started as a background singer for George Michael, lending her voice to the world-renowned musician. Her determination didn’t stop there; Tiwa went on to sing backup for a host of artistes including Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton from The Spice Girls, Kelly Clarkson, Andreas Bocelli, Ms Dynamite, and much more. She co-wrote the track “Collard Greens & Cornbread” on Fantasia Barrino’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Back to Me’
A graduate from the University of Kent, Tiwa received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and went on to Berklee College of Music where she received a scholarship to pursue a degree in Professional Music. Drawn by the diversity of cultures, and extraordinary gifts of creative students, she knew then that she had discovered a musical synagogue to hone her artistry. In 2009, music giant SONY/ATV signed her to a singer/songwriter deal and thus far, Tiwa has written for some of today’s A-list artistes and producers. She has since received songwriting credit for her contributions on Monica’s seventh studio album “New Life: The Deluxe Album,” released in 2012 and available on iTunes, for the soul-tinged ballad ‘Catch Me’.
Her exposure to various genres of music, and an understanding of the written verbiage of keys, chords and harmonies has facilitated the construction of new material. Last year, she won the City People Entertainment Award for ‘Female Musician of the Year’, ‘Best R&B Soul Song’ for Kele Kele Love at the Afrotainment Museke Online Music Awards, ‘Most Stylish Female Artiste’ at the FAB Magazine Awards and ‘Most Promising Act’ at the Dynamix Youth Awards. She also just picked up the ‘Best Female Act’ at MTV Africa Music Awards held 2 weeks ago
The Nigerian beauty is a triple threat with her natural songwriting ability, electrifying stage presence and a voice that stays powerful, Ms. Savage is now ready to share her music with the world.
She’s got a few endorsements too in her piggy – MTN, Pepsi, Forte Oil.

In the year 2007, WAJE decided to take a step and fully launch her music career, still a student at the time she paid her dues by doing a lot of free shows and gigs, singing at every given opportunity she got. The first major spot light this got WAJE was her being featured in the hit single by PSQUARE titled “Do Me”, a massive hit track across Africa and some parts of Europe. Nollywood Producer Reveals How He Was Once Harassed By Male Actor

Nigerian producer and actor Bishop Odinaka Duruzor revealed some facts about s*xual harassment in Nollywood.
bishop_odinaka_duruzor
Photo: Bishop Odinaka Duruzor
Speaking about the often discussed and rumoured affairs with actresses, he said they happen by mutual agreement, Nigeriafilms reports.
“If I like you, if you agree, fine; if you don’t, I let you be. If you want a favour from me and you give yourself to me, I won’t reject it. It’s a normal thing and it takes the consent of both parties.”

Bishop also touched upon the topic of gay relationships, which according to him have become rampant in the Nigerian movie industry.
The actor shared how he once was harassed by a male:
“I have once had an experience with an actor who is now a producer. He came up to me, told me he liked me, my physic and all that. After a while, he said he wanted to see the size of my manhood. I said for what. I thought he was joking, but subsequently, when we hang out or go for shooting, he would try to touch me in a romantic way. So I warned him and it ended.”
It would be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan has recently signed the bill outlawing same s*x marriages and civil unions, the law provides for harsh punishment for the violators, up to 14 years of jail.

If he/she is visibly absent when you need them, excuses might help you deal with the issue; but it will not sustain the relationship.
“Oh he is busy…”
“She must have forgotten…”
“May be he fell off a cliff and lost his memory…”
“She’s probably too tired to call…”
It takes two (or more) to show love and affection. Don’t be the only one giving 100%.
It will drain you eventually.
So what I am saying is: appraise your relationships. And if you have to sit down and talk to someone, do it.
