Nollywood: Actor, Fred Amata Gets New Appointment
Nollywood actor, Fred Amata, has been named as the Acting Festival Director of the 11th Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF).
This announcement was made on Wednesday, in Abuja, by the Head, Media Communications of AIFF, Mr Louis Okpoto, in a statement with the boards and management meeting of the festival.
The AIFF has been managed by Fidelis Duker, who happened to be the founder of the film festival 11 years ago.
The theme for this year’s festival which will hold from September 23rd to September 26th is “100 Years of Films in Nigeria: A Retrospective”.
Amata made his debut as an actor in the Award-winning TV series, Legacy in 1986. In a career spanning almost three decades, Amata has earned directorial, acting and performance credits in over 150 productions spanning almost the entire genre of film, theatre and cinema.
