Penelope Cruz named Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire
Penelope Cruz has been crowned the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine — and we'd be inclined to agree after seeing her swimsuit shoot for the US mag (watch above).
The 40-year-old Spanish actress is now the 11th woman to earn the honour, following the likes of Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Rihanna, Mila Kunis, Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johansson. Not bad company to keep, we think.
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona Oscar winner is the second oldest winner — Halle Berry was 42 when she was named Sexiest Woman Alive in 2008). We're calling it: 40 is the new 30.
Penelope sees herself a bit differently though, telling the mag she's more like a "mother who doesn't get enough sleep". If this is what "no sleep" looks like then we might give it a try…
Not to mention the fact she's recently had two kids (one-year-old daughter Luna and three-year-old son Leo) with husband Javier Bardem... and she still looks incredible.
