UK-based actor and producer, Tomiwa Alajogun, is  on the verge of making his mark in the Nigerian  movie industry. Film lovers will begin to see his impact from April when he will premieres two films.
He recently shot the movies – Temi ni Tie Ko and Ogbon Lowo  - when he came to Nigeria.  The movies  directed by Ola Yusuf feature the likes of Jide Kosoko, Ayo Adesanya and Lola Ajibola.
The producer, who honed his talent at the Manchester School of Acting, has featured in a couple of UK weekly TV series, including  The Red Garrote Strangler and Hunger Games. He has also acted alongside Hollywood star, Desheiles. He is the eldest son of a customs officer,  Joseph Adisa Alajogun.
On his vision for the industry, he says he wants Nollywood to combine the best  of  what obtains in developed movie industries with what it has already achieved. As a result, he is building networks with stakeholders in his fatherland.
“l intend building good relationships with people. I want to get to know more people and to  get more intimated with the industry. I want to be a practitioner that will make sense and be  known for something unique and impressive. I hope I can enrich the Nigerian film industry with my experience in the UK,” he adds.
Alajogun stresses that the level of technology and professionalism in the UK is far more advanced than what obtains in Nigeria, but he believes that there has been steady progress at home too. He wants Nigerian film makers to be painstaking whenever they are producing movies.
He explains, “With the way l was brought up there, I know they take their time in shooting their film. if you spend quality time in making a film there is no way you won’t have a good product.”
